TWI's services include technical advice, research and investigation for Industrial Member companies. As one
of the leading research and technology organisations in the world, Members can expect top-quality, innovative work, delivered by scientists and engineers who are internationally recognised in their fields.
This technical work is not, however, the only service offered by TWI: it is active in a broad variety of areas relevant to its mission of information provision. Members have access to a variety of information services, including the
largest collection of books on welding and the
most comprehensive online database of information on
joining and joining-related technologies in the world, and TWI also runs an extensive Technology Transfer programme to encourage the uptake of advanced technology in industry.
Software for technical staff working in welding, inspection, NDT and other specialist areas is produced at TWI, as are a range of publications, both technical and non-technical, in several languages. In addition, TWI frequently
organises seminars and other events on subjects of interest to Industrial Members, and hosts frequent training courses in locations all
over the world.
